The ABCs of Belcoda

Learn about Belcoda's features and how to use them, including how to assemble and grow your contact list, build relationships and people power with WhatsApp, and create events and petitions.

A - Assemble, grow and store your community contacts with Belcoda 

Belcoda Community is a place to store, organize and grow your network with tools for managing your teams, tagging, segmenting and filtering your contacts based on demographics, attended events, signed petitions, etc.

BELCODA CASE STUDY

The Climate Justice Camp LATAM 2025

The Climate Justice Camp is an international week-long event, which provides a physical space for co-creation, collaboration, and innovation between Global South groups and leaders working at the intersection of climate and social justice. 

Roots, the lead partner of the Camp, used the Belcoda platform at the 2025 Climate Justice Camp in Mexico to help facilitators voluntarily track participants’ attendance at different sessions and workshops. This also facilitated follow-up information-sharing and organizing between facilitators and attendees, which was much requested by facilitators and participants alike at precious Climate Justice Camps. 

How it worked:

  • An event was created in Belcoda for each session and workshop at the Camp, with the workshop facilitator appointed as the event manager in Belcoda, and given access to the platform.

  • The event facilitators displayed a check-in QR code generated in Belcoda on their phones or displayed it on their powerpoint presentations

  • Attendees would scan this code, triggering an automatic check in message via WhatsApp on their phones.

  • The users were marked as having attended the event in Belcoda, which allowed the facilitators to stay in contact with the attendees and engage in follow up organizing and communications.
